Who We Are

A boutique advisory practice for families who have already built something, and now need it managed with judgement.

Wealth Doctor has offered customised investment advice for over three decades, across real estate, insurance, capital markets and home loans. We also advise on taxation and on legal matters relating to investment litigation in India, particularly in real estate and insurance.

With established offices in Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Chandigarh, we work with a deliberately selected group of clients: acclaimed Indian names from the arts and from sport, high net worth individuals, and Non-Resident Indian families across the world.

Our brief is to meet the growth objectives of our clients while keeping the safety of their capital firmly in view. We work with integrity, transparency and promptness, and we would rather give advice a client did not expect than advice they simply wanted to hear.

How we guide you through an investment journey

We follow a five-step iterative process. As we work through it, we get to know you, and you get to know us, our philosophy and our temperament. Because we expect this to be a long relationship, there are no fees or obligations for the first meeting.

Discover
We listen, and gain a clear picture of where you would like to go, what you would like to do, and where you would like to be in the years to come.
Align
We establish what success actually means for this investment, and align your goals and measures with the solutions capable of reaching them.
Design
We work out a suitable plan, sharing our investment philosophy, discussing asset allocation and rebalancing, and defining your risk tolerance and time horizon.
Implement
We execute the plan, reading current market conditions so that the strategy is put to work at the right moment rather than merely on schedule.
Manage
We review statements and performance together, monitoring progress and adjusting as your circumstances and the market both move.

What does the first meeting involve?

A conversation, and nothing more. We listen to where you are and where you would like to be, and set out honestly whether we are the right practice for it. There are no fees or obligations attached to a first meeting.

Do you advise across all four areas, or can I engage you for one?

Either. Many clients come to us for a single mandate, whether a property, a policy or a loan, and the relationship widens over time. The advantage of holding all four under one roof is that a decision in one area is never taken blind to the others.

Do you work with Non-Resident Indians?

Yes, and have for many years. A substantial part of our practice is NRI families holding assets in India while living elsewhere, which brings its own questions around repatriation, taxation and being able to act on something from a different time zone.

How are you paid?

This is discussed openly at the outset, before any recommendation is made, and it is set out in writing. We would rather have that conversation early than have it become a discovery later.

Can you help with litigation or taxation on an existing investment?

We advise on taxation and legal matters relating to investment litigation in India, particularly in real estate and insurance. Where specialist counsel is required, we work alongside it rather than in place of it.

How is my information handled?

Discreetly. Client details are never shared, and we do not publish client names or holdings without express written permission.
